corvidualityI’ve started to suspect that when you see one of those posts on Twitter/tumblr where the gist of it is, "omg why are women so much prettier than men, women are lovely but men are so BLAND", etc., those people are only thinking about women in make-up.
Because if you ever look at a woman without make-up, especially compared to how she looks with it, women are blotchy, sunken-eyed things.
And that's not me rolling with the "women are liars because they wear make-up" routine. Men without make-up have their awkward sides too.
That's just humanity.
Women are ugly. People are ugly.
Errybody ugly.

That said: the majority of the time you hear someone attracted to men talking about what they find attractive, they'll go into detail about certain parts of the body; how they like their broad shoulders, when they have long or short hair, the shape of their faces, their eyes, the sound of their voice, and so on…
When you hear someone who says women are just prettier than men (as opposed to someone who just prefers girls and adores their bodies), they say...uh...
"Women are so lovely, so beautiful, they were born to be adored, women glow, so beautiful, girls are just so GIRLS!!!!”
Nothing specific. Just that women are an experience, with nothing specific described, not even a hint of the supposedly universal “damn I love boobs”.
None of this is meant to imply that loving women is less authentic or something…except for those particular sorts.
People are very into the question of, "why do beautiful women date average-looking men", but I honestly believe that if women never wore make-up, and were allowed to put as minimal effort in their appearance as men are allowed to, people would think that sort of thing a lot less.
Women don’t really look all that dissimilar to men if you ask me; there’s nothing in their facial structure that’s less awkward looking than men, they just have less defined jaws and smaller shoulders and...stuff.
“Why do men look so bland and average???”
Because you’re probably comparing them to someone who spent two hours applying a look that they spent one hour planning the night before, dude.
