Been a hectic few months...
Jul. 3rd, 2020 11:27 pm...To say the very least.
The most hectic few months I've had in a long time. Not just regarding *gesticulates wildly at the air* everything in the world, but things happening here on the homefront.
I don't know if I have it in me to jot down everything that's been happening in my life, or my feelings about it, or my thoughts about my feelings about it, as writing it all down may be cathartic but it also goes against my reflexes when it comes to things that weigh on my mind; that is, shove it under the rug and deal with it later.
For now, I'll write an entry that actually brings me joy: things I've noticed about my new cat. Btw I got a new cat.
>She's odd looking; not more strange than any other cat, but so different from Penne that I can't help but notice her more unique traits. She has relatively large ears, her fur is silkier, her paws are bigger, and I swear I can feel muscle when I pick her up. She looks like a rabbit from a distance. She must have some Siamese or Egyptian in her.
>She was NOT shy about settling in. During the selection process, her foster owner took her to my house to meet the thing, and after some initial caution about getting out of the crate she immediately settled in a kitchen chair like she already lived there, and during the first week after I properly adopted her she spend 70% of the time rubbing herself on every thing and every surface.
>She's kind of insane. In a nice way. She nips a LOT. She jumped up on the couch I was sitting on JUST to nip me.
I like her quite a bit. I made a good choice.
That's all for now.
