I have to write an essay. A personal essay, about something that's personal to us; something we think about a lot, or a question we don't know the answer to.

I know what I want to write about- but it could take a lot out of me mentally. Just looking at the outline I've made and thinking that I have to write all that again is making me chew my lip.

It also may or may not earn me a trip to the guidance counselor.
(Or whatever the equivalent is for college campuses.)

I don't think I've ever shared something this personal with anyone, let alone a class full of people.
This may be the first time I've ever shown someone this really, truly fucked-up side of my mind, the little corner in my head where I think about bad things because they're bad, and that makes me want to know as much as I can about them.

I won't lie: I'm kind of excited.

We'll see what happens.
