Oct. 8th, 2019 01:26 pmI've been taking a class on Shakespeare this semester, the first time I've focused on Shakespeare in a very long time...aaaaaaand I'm getting that itch again to write Shakespeare fics.
An itch I never actually bothered to scratch way back when I was in High School, because, well...IT'S SHAKESPEARE. I can't write in iambic pentameter to save my life, never mind any kind of actual poem.
Ah, well...
And I NEED something that explores the Petruccio/Kate relationship in a way that actually appreciates the banter they have with each other, and isn't just hyper-focused on the ~problematic~ aspects of the relationship.
It's likely not going to be the most "appreciated" interpretation- but when has that ever been anything but a challenge for me? ;D
Healthy, realistic dynamics are dull anyway.
